Object Attribute Mapping

From Planimate Knowledge Base
Jump to: navigation, search

Objects in Planimate include a mechanism to collect information as items enter and leave them. This information is recorded in Object Attributes and includes counters on incoming and outgoing items, the object's occupancy and its current state.

The object attributes available depend on the type of object.

The table in this dialog enables you to expose the listed Object Attributes of the selected object and place the data into attributes external to the object, which you can then easily view, log or use in model logic.

Start by selecting an object attribute you are interested in. Either highlight it and click the edit button or double click on the object attribute's name. Then use the Attribute Reference Dialog which appears to point to a Portal Attribute which will receive the Object Attribute you selected as the model runs.
