What is Planimate LITE
Planimate LITE is a lightweight version of Planimate by InterDynamics Pty. Ltd. which runs on any Windows PC without the need to purchase a license and with minimal installation.
Planimate LITE can be used at no cose for educational and non commercial purposes. This makes Planimate LITE perfect for use in schools and universities.
Planimate LITE does not require administrative access to install or run, it can run "portable" from a flash drive. It has no runtime dependencies on Visual Studio libraries or dotNET versions.
What do the paid versions of Planimate add?
Planimate remains available as a licensed application for professional use with features including:
- Licensed for use in business and consulting.
- Access to a 64 bit version for much larger models that handle large data sets.
- Modelling of track/rail networks.* The ability to load and save compressed and and encrypted data using DataSet2.
- Compiling a mdoel to a standalone application (PBA).
- Command line batch running of Planimate.
- Connectivity to dotNET for access to web APIs, databases, Azure, advaned graphing and high quality multi-page report generation.
- C DLL call API
- Automated model testing framework.
- Assistance in bringing forward older models you may have.
- The about box does not linger
- Support beyond the forum.
Models built with Planimate LITE will load with full Planimate when you're ready to move to it. Both versions can be run on the same system, they store their settings separately.
