Item Description

  • Undo Undoes the prior Table Editing Action ONLY. This is a single level undo feature.
  • Paste Over [CxR] Appears only if there is data in Planimate®’s internal copy paste buffer. The pasting of the data is applied at this cell. Validation is performed regarding formats, and whether the paste area extends beyond the bounds of the table columns or rows.
  • Paste Insert [CxR] Appears only if there is data in Planimate®’s internal copy paste buffer. The pasting of the data is applied at this cell. Rows are added, and any rows not affected by the paste are left at their clear values. Validation is performed regarding formats, and whether the paste area extends beyond the bounds of the table columns or rows.
  • Paste Append [CxR] Appears only if there is data in Planimate®’s internal copy paste buffer. The pasting of the data is applied to the bottom of the table. any rows not affected by the paste are left at their clear values. Validation is performed regarding formats, and whether the paste area extends beyond the bounds of the table columns.
  • Copy Cell Copies the current content of the cell to Planimate®’s internal copy paste buffer.If you Alt-Tab away from Planimate®, the internal copy paste buffer data is transferred to the Windows Clipboard, along with the Column Title.
  • Copy All Copies the entire current content of the Table to Planimate®’s internal copy paste buffer.If you Alt-Tab away from Planimate®, the internal copy paste buffer data is transferred to the Windows Clipboard, along with the Column Titles.
  • Clear Cell Sets the Cell back to its Clear/Default Value
  • Scale/Offset Applies a scaling factor, then adds an offset to the current value in the cell.e.g. say the cell value is currently = 2You apply a scale of 10 and an offset of 4.Resulting value in the cell will be (2 x 10) + 4 = 24
  • Import From Clipboard Enables you to Import Data into your Table via the Clipboard. Various options can be selected.
  • Auto Various means of modifying a series of cells in your Table
  • Fill DownCarry the currently-selected cell’s value down to the bottom of the table, or the selection, if more than one cell is highlighted.
  • Fill AcrossCarry the currently-selected cell’s value across to the end column of a row of the table, or the selection, if more than one cell is highlighted.
  • Index DownProgressively add an ‘index’ value to the current cell, and apply it to the next cell down, to the bottom of the table, or the selection, if more than one cell is highlighted.
  • Index AcrossProgressively add an ‘index’ value to the current cell, and apply it to the next cell across, to the end of the table, or the selection, if more than one cell is highlighted.
  • Edit Mode Various options to define the way the table behaves when being edited. This option applies to the entire table when set.
  • Edit Single Cell (Default).After the cell is edited, and the User presses Enter, the cell remains with focus on it.
  • Edit AcrossAfter the cell is edited, and the User presses Enter, the focus is moved to the next cell across, and the cell is opened for editing. When the end column is reached, the next row editing is commenced beginning at the first column.Press Escape to stop the focus moving on.
  • Edit downAfter the cell is edited, and the User presses Enter, the focus is moved to the next cell down the column, and the cell is opened for editing. When the end row is reached, the next column editing is commenced beginning at the first row.Press Escape to stop the focus moving on.
  • Format Individual Cells can have their properties changed here.
  • Text Colour
  • Background Colour
  • Font
  • UnitsSets display Formatting Units to apply to this cell.
  • Revert to DefaultCancels all Cell Properties for this cell and reverts to the default settings.
  • Unselect If the cell is part of a selection highlight, the selection is cancelled and the focus remains on this cell alone.
  • Select All Selects (highlights) all cells in the Table.
  • Select to End Selects all Cells to the left, and below this cell, in the table, highlighting them.
    • Scale/Offset a Cell or a Selection of Cells’ Values
  • Scaling or Offsetting a Cell Value or a Selection of Cells Applies a scaling factor, then adds an offset to the current value in the cell.

e.g. say the cell value is currently = 2

You apply a scale of 10 and an offset of 4.

Resulting value in the cell will be (2 x 10) + 4 = 24
