Tables viewed as mappers

Tables can be viewed as an array of cells or as a line graph representing the data. The latter is called mapper mode because the table can be called upon to interpolate values between defined points. This remapping can be dynamically altered by changing the data in the table.


Users can also edit mappers, with points being inserted automatically when the user "bends" a line. This works for multi-column tables as well (the other columns have an interpolated point inserted at the X where the "bend" for the current Y being viewed is added. This is normally accompanied by a warning dialog.


If the table option "User Cannot Insert/Delete Rows" is selected then the user cannot add (or delete) points, they can only move the existing points up and down. This is very convenient when a profile/distribution graph is provided with the idea that the user can vary the heights of a number of bins.
